Greenhouse gas emissions in focus

Today The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) publishes its annual ranking of Nordic companies with regards to their greenhouse gas emissions.

We are happy to see that our efforts during the year are reflected in today’s CDP score, when Tele2 was awarded 73 points. During 2011, we have continued our work to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. Tele2’s primary reduction area is the ongoing replacement of older cooling systems with the more energy efficient fresh-air cooling in our base stations. However, our major impact when it comes to lowering greenhouse gas emissions lies in our customers’ operations. By providing them with low-cost alternatives to physical meetings, such as telephone and video conferencing, they can reduce their need to travel.
